When you look at the iTunes Country Charts you don’t usually find songs that were featured on TV Shows but this year things are changing. ABC’s Nashville has two songs in the top 20 in little less than three days after their release. “This Town” sang by Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) and Scarlett O’Connor (Clare Bowen) and “The Best Songs Come From Broken Hearts” sang by Rayna James (Connie Britton) are sitting firmly at #12 and #19.

These are not the only songs that are buzzworthy. “A Life That’s Good” which was originally sung by Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) was featured in season two, episode five in which Deacon’s biological daughter Maddie (Lennon Stella) plays an acoustic rendition alongside her sister Daphne (Maisy Stella) at the end of the episode. “Tears So Strong” by WIll Lexington (Chris Carmack),
“Be My Girl” by Avery Barkley (Jonathan Jackson), Gunnar Scott (Sam Palladio), and Zoey Dalton (Chaley Rose),  and “I’m A Girl” Juliette Barnes(Hayden Panettiere) are all fan favorites.

I’m pretty adamant that the new season will bring more great music that will continue to rise the top of the iTunes country music charts. I also can’t give enough credit to the musicians who originally wrote the songs featured on Nashville, and those who produce the music for the show. If we didn’t have them there would be no Nashville. If you would like to share your favorite song of either season one or season two leave a comment below. Also don’t forget to check out the cast’s twitter pages, on Wednesday nights they conduct a fan tweet chat known as #asknashville!
